Manchester United fans must be the angriest in the world at the moment, the club simply refuses to sack the manager who now has a worse record than David Moyes having spent much more cash and time. FC Midtjylland who haven’t played in 2 and a half months and lost 9-1 on aggregrate to Napoli were made to look like Champions League giants by Manchester United. There was a lack of leadership, commitment and sort of an effort on the field from Manchester United. And the blame solely lies on the manager for this. Having cleared out so many senior and talented players, the recruitment policy after that was a disaster. None of the new recruits save for Anthony Martial would get near any Ferguson team. None of Depay, Mata, Blind, Schneiderlin, Darmian and even Schweinsteiger have shown the character or the desire to fight back this season which were two of the most important qualities Ferguson looked in a player.
Van Gaal must go now, it is as simple as that. He has just accelerated the decline of a club which started when the Glazers took over but was hidden by Fergie’s genius in the initial years.
Louis van Gaal: the MUFC manager who gave ‘football, bloody hell’ an entirely different meaning

#mufc now failed to win 18 of their last 27 games in all comps. They are sleepwalking into the abyss. Wake up, for goodness sake

I'd take Tim Sherwood right now

Midtjylland's playing budget for 2014/15 – wages and transfers – was £7m. #mufc's wage bill £203m so total spend over £300m.

This boils my blood. The manager looks half-arsed and lost faith, the players have lost their faith in LvG and, YET, he's still in charge.

Genuinely think that Shrewsbury Town can knock Man United out on Monday. They'll believe it too. Fear factor and aura long gone.
