Barcelona completely outplayed Real Madrid in a 4-0 defeat which will have repercussions for Real’s players, coaches and maybe even its president. Cristiano Ronaldo finally after years of unbelievable consistency looks to have hit a prolonged rough patch and there are fears that he might not be able to reach his peak again. Andres Iniesta on the other hand refreshed everyone’s memories with what he is capable of with a stellar performance. Neymar on the other hand has propelled himself into the Messi/Ronaldo category and with time he surely will be the world’s best someday. Rafa Benitez had made some bad substitutions but his pre game selection and tactics seem to be more influenced by the board and the fans. For a coach like Benitez who values defensive organisation, Real were set up to be ripped apart. Huge spaces between defence, midfield and attack allowed Barcelona to comfortably play their passing game. Sergio Busquets again showed why he is world class with an immaculate performance. The front three of Real Madrid lacked any coordination and were disinterested in closing down the Barcelona players.
Sergio Busquets does what he does best at the very beginning of the match.
