Liverpool have signed Adam Bogdan from Bolton on a free transfer which makes him the third free signing of the summer for Liverpool. Liverpool have already signed James Milner from Manchester City and Danny Ings from Burnley again on free transfers. Although reportedly Brendan Rodgers has a transfer kitty ,it remains to be seen whether the manager will be trusted with big money transfers this season after a horrendous transfer window last time out.
With Raheem Sterling wanting out and Martin Skrtel refusing to sign the contract he was offered,Liverpool certainly need to spend if they seek to return to the Champions League this season. After a dismal season with failure in all competitions including the Champions League and the Premier League,Rodgers is under pressure to deliver both on the pitch and in the transfer market. A series of costly acquisitions who have flopped has hit Liverpool hard as they seek to replace their talisman Steven Gerrard. With Daniel Sturridge injury prone and Mario Balotelli having a forgettable season,Liverpool are in desperate need of strikers. Ings has been brought in to address that concern, but it remains to be seen whether he can step up and contribute or whether he will be yet another flop signing made under the watch of Brendan Rodgers.
