Andreas Pereira has blamed Louis Van Gaal for failing to keep his promise of giving the young star playing time in the Manchester United first team. Pereira asked for a loan move in January when Van Gaal refused to let him go instead promising him that he will be selected to play for the first team. With only the FA Cup final remaining, there is almost no chance that Pereira will make any appearances for the first team.

This season, Van Gaal has overseen the spectacular rise of some youngsters like Marcus Rashford, Jesse Lingard and Timothy Fosu-Mensah. But some others have not got the chances they deserved and their development has stagnated. Adnan Januzaj is another player who has been sitting on the sidelines for a long time now. Having gone out on a strange loan to Dortmund, he returned in January having failed to make an impact in Germany. Dortmund is stacked with more quality attackers than Manchester United is and Januzaj’s move didn’t make any sense.
