Manchester United’s captain Wayne Rooney who is returning after a long injury layoff has reportedly injured himself again while playing for the U-21s and won’t play the game against West Ham.

This happenned while Rooney was playing for the U-21s as Van Gaal wanted him to prove his match fitness before the West Ham game. This is a big blow for Man United as the game against West Ham is a crucial one where a victory will give them a chance to win some silverware. United’s attack has been lifeless and Rooney’s return would have made it better. Now Van Gaal has to stick to Rashford upfront unless he plays Martial there. After the game against Spurs, Van Gaal shockingly blamed that Martial doesn’t make runs in behind the defence and that’s why he is unable to pick him as a striker. Martial has been the sole bright light this season for United fans and to hear the manager blame the young striker wouldn’t have gone down well with them.
