Marcus Rashford, the teenager who has made a storming start to his career by scoring two goals against Arsenal in his Premier League debut and later the winner against Manchester City still uses the U-21 dressing room at Old Trafford. Louis Van Gaal has a policy which doesn’t allow youngsters to use the first team dressing room as it keeps them ‘grounded’. This policy sounds crazy as all United fans have heard the stories of how the Class of 92 were using the first team dressing room from the beginning and how sharing the dressing room with senior players like Cantona, Irwin, etc helped them reach the heights they did.

Now that Rashford has become an regular,he should be allowed to use the first team dressing room. Sharing the dressing room with the likes of Wayne Rooney, Michael Carrick and even youngsters like Anthony Martial will only help young Rashford in his career and the Manchester lad has in fact earned to right to do so with his performances. Rashford put to bed all the speculation that he was just plain lucky against Arsenal by scoring a splendid goal at the Etihad which has all but ended Demichelis’ City career. United fans will hope that the local lad will not fail like Macheda did and stay at United for many years to come.

  1. Louis Lon Baal is a complete joke and will add about 5 years and half a billion £££ to the cost of United’s post Fergie recovery.
