According to Tribal Football, Arsenal have agree on a £34.6million buyout option with Real Madrid to sign their Spanish midfielder Isco. Isco has been heavily linked to a move away from Real but because of Real’s transfer ban during the January window there was no movement. Now that the transfer ban has been lifted, Arsenal if the reports are true are in pole position to sign him. Manchester City also are in the race but with the impending arrival of Pep Guardiola one can never be sure whether they are in the race or not. Good news for Arsenal is that if by June no other club bids more than Arsenal’ buying option then they are the front runners in the race.

Arsene Wenger would have been happier if this transfer was completed during this window as Arsenal have in a good position to win the Premier League this season. After their win against Leicester, Arsenal are brimming with confidence which only bodes well at this late stage. Danny Welbeck’s late winner was a boost which everyone at the club needed.
