According to Tribal Football, Arsenal have agree on a £34.6million buyout option with Real Madrid to sign their Spanish midfielder Isco. Isco has been heavily linked to a move away from Real but because of Real’s transfer ban during the January window there was no movement. Now that the transfer ban has been lifted, Arsenal if the reports are true are in pole position to sign him. Manchester City also are in the race but with the impending arrival of Pep Guardiola one can never be sure whether they are in the race or not. Good news for Arsenal is that if by June no other club bids more than Arsenal’ buying option then they are the front runners in the race.

Arsene Wenger would have been happier if this transfer was completed during this window as Arsenal have hit a rough patch and have struggled to score goals lately. They are now in fourth position and are in serious danger of being left out in the title race. With an daunting 2 legged tie coming up against Barcelona, Arsenal quickly need to return to form to have any chance if winning silverware this season.
