Manchester United might have to alter their transfer plans with the ban on Real Madrid from buying any players till 2017. One positive from this ban is that David De Gea has to wait further to move to Spain as both Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid have been banned from buying any players. But United’s plans for Gareth Bale, Cristiano Ronaldo, Isco, etc are now gone. United fans now should now accept the fact that ex-red Ronaldo is never coming back to Old Trafford. Even if it happens, Ronaldo would be well past his prime by that time. As for as Gareth Bale returning to the Premier League, it is also not happening any time soon. Real’s transfer ban coupled with Zidane’s insistence that Bale is at the heart of Real’s attack means that the Welshman is not leaving Spain anytime soon.

United’s transfer team now should look to the Serie A or the Bundesliga for high quality players. They will be forced to pay more as options now will become more limited. These transfer bans will have ramifications across the Premier League as Chelsea, City and Arsenal too had transfer plans with the two Madrid clubs.
