Arsenal are in impressive form as they face Bayern Munich in Germany tomorrow. Although injuries have seen key players miss out, Wenger will still be hopeful that the Gunners manage to get something from this fixture. Theo Walcott will be a big miss,as his pace in the home fixture against Bayern proved critical in stretching the Bayern defence. Giroud will offer a different kind of threat but the Germans will more likely be happier seeing Giroud on the teamsheet rather than Walcott.

Hector Bellerin who had an amazing performance against Bayern last time out will be a big miss especially with his replacement being the totally out of sorts Debuchy. The 4-2-3-1 formation Wenger has generally used this season will of course continue with one major tweak being how deep the defence is going to sit. With Mertesacker’s lack of pace, Arsenal’s defence is expected to sit pretty deep with the midfield too staying compact and organised. Sanchez’s pace along with Ozil’s mystic ability to create space and time on the ball will help Arsenal’s counter against the Bayern defence.

They are one of Europe’s top sides. It is a new game after we lost in London. This is a match we want to win in front of our supporters. We have another 90 minutes to move closer to qualifying for the next round. Arsenal like to keep the ball and attack. Look at all the players they have on the pitch – they are players to keep the ball and perhaps try long passes to [Olivier] Giroud. We will have to adapt our defence as they will want to play their type of game. We want to press them high so they can’t play out of defence. I always tell my teams to attack as much as possible and to create as many chances as possible.

We will try to keep on the same path. We want to see the performance that we showed against them in the last game. We want a positive result again. We continue to develop as a team. We did well the last few weeks and that should give us the belief to achieve something tomorrow. Tomorrow will be a good opportunity to show that we have developed as a team.

-Wenger

We are all in for an exciting match with Bayern suddenly looking weak and with Arsenal in high flying form.
